Quick Answer: How Does Money Work in WARDOGS?

Cash is the game's whole progression system — "teamwork pays and cash is king" is not a tagline but the economy's design brief. You start with $10,000, whatever survives a match carries into the next one, and every loadout is rented for one life: die with it and the replacement cost comes off tomorrow's budget. Kills, zone time and logistics deposits all print money; death is the only tax, and it is steep.

  • Income: kills, Control Zone time, tower captures, depositing matĂ©riel into the zone, match placement.
  • Sinks: weapons, armor, helmets, meds, smokes, launchers — every piece of a loadout.
  • Persistence: your balance persists between matches; seasons end with a wipe and everyone re-runs the climb.
  • No insurance: there is currently no way to recover gear after death (a top community complaint in EA week one).

The Loop That Compounds

The economy rewards the same discipline every extraction-flavored economy rewards: spend less than you earn, armor before prestige, and never bring hardware you cannot afford to lose twice. A careful $4,000 loadout that survives five matches prints more than a $9,000 loadout that survives one — and the careful player arrives at the FAL and the AMR 50 with the bank to actually lose them.

💡 Price every purchase against the question "can my next three matches afford this if I die now?" — the cash economy is a budgeting game with guns.
