AMR 50 Weapon Guide

Category: Sniper rifle

Tier (Season 1): Specialist

Price: $8,800

Headline Numbers: .50 cal, 107 base damage, 12.5 kg

What the AMR 50 Is

The AMR 50 is the most expensive trigger in Early Access: a .50 cal anti-materiel rifle at $8,800 with 107 base damage and a 12.5 kg carry weight that announces itself in your movement. It exists to delete things other guns argue with — and to be the flex that says your bank no longer counts in rifle-money.

Who Should Buy It, and When

Endgame banks only. The AMR 50 costs 88% of the $10,000 starting balance; dying with it is the most expensive single mistake available to an infantryman. The honest framing from the economy guides: this is a "Big Spender"-adjacent purchase — the $100,000-on-one-loadout achievement's little brother — and it becomes rational only when a lost match barely dents the account.

💡 At 12.5 kg, plan the insertion around the weight: parachute close, fight from the first good position, and never re-position through the open.

Tier Context and Alternatives

Specialist tier — not worse than S, but categorically different: the AMR 50 answers fortification and hardware problems, not rifle problems. The SVD ($4,800) remains the marksman answer for a third of the price; the AMR 50 is what you buy when the question changed. Tier lists that rank it "below" S-tier guns are misusing it.
