Not before your bank can lose $6,500 without flinching — that is 65% of the $10,000 starting balance walking into a warzone with no insurance behind it. The community rule: run the AK74 or T-21 until you routinely survive long enough for the FAL to matter, then let it pay for its own replacement. Buying it early is the single most documented first-week mistake.

S tier on raw performance — nothing out-damages it per trigger pull in the rifle class.
